1. Data Source (GBIF API)

All biodiversity occurrence records, taxonomic classification mappings, and geodetic coordinate points displayed inside this application are sourced in real-time from the open API endpoints of the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF).

GBIF is an international network and data infrastructure funded by the world's governments, aimed at providing anyone, anywhere, open access to data about all types of life on Earth. For more information, please visit gbif.org.

2. Dynamic Image Attribution

The species images shown in the monitor are hosted by individual publishers who contribute their data to GBIF. These media files are used in accordance with their respective Creative Commons licenses as cataloged in the GBIF database.

In this application, the specific license (e.g. CC-BY, CC-BY-NC, CC0) and the copyright owner (creator or rights holder) are retrieved dynamically for each individual record and displayed explicitly in the sidebar's footer section during active rotation.
